Who, when being thirsty, wouldn’t be happy in drinking water? Or being fed when you’re hungry? As essential as eating and drinking are so it is exercising the spirit. It may seem obvious, but sometimes we take too long to understand our real and vital need to do so. Very often we feel an overwhelming void when we consider ourselves lost, when the situation is out of our control, or when we face something we don’t know how to overcome. And yet, we postponed all these sufferings with our reasoning, which turns out to make us slaves of the situation.
Temptation: that’s one of the most challenging words.
To one group of people, temptation is the source for complaining, yielding, and later on, feeling the remorse for doing what they shouldn’t do. However, to a second group of people, it is a reason to become strong, successful and feel wonderful (these people taste a divine joy because of this victory and are truly happy and blessed).
