What were the people of Israel doing in the desert, about two million people as pilgrims for almost four decades? Apparently, nobody was doing anything, and their lives seemed to be meaningless. However, the profound revelation of the Word shows us that God was making of His people an army and a group of Levites as priests to serve Him, preparing them to enter the good land of Canaan.
BUT JESUS DECLARED “ SOMEONE TOUCHED ME, FOR I KNOW THAT POWER HAS GONE OUT OF ME” (LUKE 8:46)
Jesus was surrounded by people. The crowds followed and touched him the whole time. However, one touch made him stop. “But Jesus declared: who touched me?”. The disciples even tried to explain him that the crowds were around him but he insisted on asking “ Who touched me? ” It was not just one touch.
“Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be save”. Matthew 24:12-13
The prophecy of Matthew 24:12 makes SUPER clear that at the end of time most Christians will become like an iceberg gospel: a mass of ice walking, without expression, cold and totally INDIFFERENT to the love of God.
Often when we see the life of the Lord Jesus and His time as man here on earth, we think that He was a person with no weaknesses or desires. We think that we will never come to His degree of consecration, because He, of course, as Son of God was full of qualities and skills that a normal human being could never achieve. But, let me tell you something: we also are children of God! Jesus Christ came to earth not only to die for our sins, but also to show that it is possible! He experienced and felt all the pain, just like us. He had weaknesses, wants and desires, but He never allowed Himself be dominated by them.

“Indeed we count them blessed who endure…” (James 5:11a)
Hannah certainly was someone that endured and as any other human being (although she had strong spirit) had her days of sorrow and of a dismayed heart. After crying a lot and even not being able to eat because of her condition of sterility and the provocations of her rival, something inside her became stronger and greater than the difficult pressure of not having a child. Hannah prayed: “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life…” (1 Samuel 1:11a).
